Mind Versus Heart

Tears dripped down her eyes

When she kissed him good buy

For days he'll be fighting the tides 

It rained cats and dogs that night

For sailors it was a real plight

With immense fear in her heart

She was about to breakdown

But her mind was firm from the start 

Her will strengthened from years of strong devotion

Stopped her from drowning in to the whirlpool of emotion (s)

Though her love was in great danger

And she was nearly heart broken 

Yet her reliance upon sailors return became stronger  

Her troubled soul suffered even more

But then she was intellectual to the core

As sand slips out even of a closed wrist

Her heart lost its last hope

Nevertheless her will could withstand

In the end when her love returned 

Nor her mind won , neither her heart failed.
